ruths radiant walk intro

More Than a Love Story

Everyone has a story. Stories filled with highs and lows, laughter and tears, moments of faith and questions that don’t always have easy answers.

As I studied the book of Ruth, I realised I wasn’t just reading about an ancient widow gleaning in the fields of Bethlehem. I was reading about you and me. Women (and men) who dare to believe that even in life’s hardest seasons, God is not finished with our story.

What This Journey Is About

Through these thirty days, we’ll walk side by side with Ruth. Through her pain, her perseverance, and her quiet trust in a God she was only beginning to know. We’ll listen as she teaches us about faith that holds on, love that serves, and rest that is found not in people or possessions, but in the Lord Himself.

You’ll see how God can turn emptiness into abundance, bitterness into beauty, and how every “why” in our journey finds meaning in His redeeming love. Ruth’s life is proof that no chapter of our story is wasted when God is the Author.

So, dear friend, take a deep breath. Open your heart. These next thirty days are not just a Bible study. They are an invitation to walk closer with the God who restores, to trust Him even when you don’t understand, and to discover the radiant beauty that shines from a life fully surrendered to Him.

My prayer is that by the time you finish this series, you’ll not only see Ruth differently, you’ll see yourself through God’s eyes: loved, chosen, and radiant. Let’s begin this journey together, one day, one verse, one surrendered step at a time.

How to Get the Best from This Series

  1. Create a quiet moment.

Find a peaceful spot, maybe early in the morning or at night before bed. Whisper a short prayer, asking God to speak to you through His Word.

  1. Watch the video, then read the Scripture.

Each day begins with a passage from Ruth or related verses. Read them slowly. Imagine the scene. Listen for what stands out.

  1. Reflect and respond.

After reading, pause to reflect on the “Reflection & Action” section. Write your thoughts or prayers in a journal.

  1. Pray the prayer aloud.

Let the prayer at the end of each day become your conversation with God. Don’t rush it. Sometimes the simplest words open the deepest doors.

  1. Live it out.

God’s Word comes alive when we walk it out. Each lesson from Ruth is a call to action in your daily life.

And remember, this devotional isn’t a race. If a particular day touches you deeply, linger there. Let the Holy Spirit do His quiet work within you.

May these words draw you closer to Jesus, the true Redeemer who still turns ordinary stories into radiant ones.
